Shipping policy

We ship locally in Malaysia, and also worldwide. The purpose of the platform is to enable anyone who appreciates high quality and unique handmade artisanal crafts to buy on Batik Boutique globally.

The cost of shipping within Malaysia is provided as Standard Shipping with an estimated delivery of 2-3 working days. Orders over RM200 receive FREE shipping within Malaysia. Orders under RM200 pay a flat rate of RM10 for shipping within Malaysia.

We also provide Express Air shipping for International orders, and pricing is based on your location and shipment weight. All orders over $100 receive FREE International Shipping.

We regularly ship within Malaysia, as well as many countries abroad like the United States, Canada, most of Europe, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Japan, China, Australia and New Zealand. 

Note that any import fees or customs charges, if applied, will be the customer's responsibility.

Order shipped to addresses in Malaysia will generally arrive within 2-3 business days after your order is confirmed. 

For international shipping, orders should arrive within 5-7 business days, though we ask for you to expect to receive your order within two weeks in case there are any delays in transit.  We also have an economy shipping option that will show up on your cart page when checking out.

Returns and exchanges

We take pride in the quality and uniqueness of our handmade products and we assure you nothing but the best. We have also described and photographed all products as accurately as possible.  However, as these are handmade items, there can be instances where size, color or design may vary slightly.

If you are for any reason unhappy with your purchase, do drop us an email within 7 days of receiving your product with your name, product number and reason for return. Please state RETURNS & REFUNDS as your email Subject and also include a picture of the product received.  If your return is due to an error by Batik Boutique whereby a wrong or damaged product was shipped, we will happily provide you with a replacement of the damaged product if there is more stock. If there is no stock, we will offer to replace your product with a similarly-priced product. If this not available, we will refund your payment accordingly.

If the return is due to any other reason, such as sizing, you will be responsible for the shipping and any other associated costs in returning the item(s) back to us. Please send your return using a reliable carrier that provides a tracking option. We also recommend that you insure the return package as you will be responsible for the item(s) reach us in their original condition.

Please note:
No refunds will be issued for returned item(s) that have been used.
The Refund Policy will not be applicable after the 7-day return period.

This is the same return/exchange policy followed in our retail outlets. Should you wish to exchange a product with us, you can also bring it to one of our outlets and our Sales Associates can further assist you.

Yes, we can provide bulk orders with customisations by color, logo, or other attribute.  Please reach out to us on our "Contact Us" page for more information and a quote.

The gift voucher is valid for a period of 6 months from the date of purchase.  

Gift vouchers ordered through our website will be emailed to the address you specify at the time of order.  Vouchers purchased online can be redeemed either online or in-store.  To redeem your voucher in-store, the original voucher must be presented upon payment.

This voucher is valid for a single transaction only, either online or in-store, as full or partial payment of products or classes. No credit or change will be given on the unused portion of the voucher. This voucher may not be redeemed for cash.  Gift vouchers are not replaceable if lost, stolen or destroyed, photocopied or altered in any way.  This voucher cannot be returned or refunded or used to purchase another gift voucher.

The Mission of Batik Boutique is to disrupt the cycle of poverty amongst communities in Malaysia. We do that by providing skills training and creating income opportunities for artists and people living in impoverished communities. 

The Vision of Batik Boutique is to be the premier global batik brand. 

Unless stated otherwise, each product is hand-crafted by skilled artisans in Malaysia. Each product purchased directly benefits 5-8 people who made it. Each artisan received fair, living wages pre-agreed upon by the artisans and Batik Boutique.
